Batemans Bay Foreshore Park Marine Structures Feasibility Study, New South Wales, Australia
Three marine structures sites near the centre of Batemans Bay on the south bank of the Clyde River are under consideration by Eurobodalla Shire Council for upgrading/renewal in order to provide improved usage and services to the community. Opus was engaged by the Council to consider and assess feasible options for the upgrading / renewal at each of the sites.
Watsons Bay Baths, New South Wales, Australia
The Watsons Bay Baths are located at Marine Parade, Watsons Bay in the southeast corner of Sydney Harbour. The concrete and timber swimming facility that is open to the public was displaying signs of deterioration and as such the local Council commissioned Opus to undertake a detailed inspection of the facility. The inspection was to report on the safety of the current facility and ongoing repairs that would need to be implemented to maintain the baths use for another few years in their current form.
West Channel Beacon Replacement, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
The Western Channel Beacon located off Georges Head in Sydney Harbour had been found to be in a very poor condition and warranted replacement. Sydney Ports Corporation commissioned Opus to undertake the detailed design of a replacement beacon substructure and light house support platform that was to retain its heritage appearance.
