Environmental & Social Impact Assessment

Impact assessments of projects are a core input into the decision making and consenting process.  Opus provides these services across a range of scale and sectors.  Our expertise ranges from network infrastructure though to buildings and the water industry.  As part of this suite of services we have specialists in such areas such as ecology, heritage & archaeology, visual assessment and water.

Alongside the assessment of environmental effects is the need to monitor potential impacts during construction and operation.  Our team has designed and implemented monitoring programmes for construction and operations in the transport, buildings and water areas as well as individual site compliance.  We also provide site auditing for legislative compliance with the relevant legislation in a comprehensive”total package” approach.

Complementing our skills in environmental impact assessment are those in social impact.  Our project experience includes major roading projects, prisons, casinos as well as the community implications of changes in planning rules and other policy decision making.
