Data Management

 

Opus provides extensive data management services to a wide range of clients internationally. The importance of clean data to the development of quality information is of prime importance. In New Zealand, Opus is the largest provider of data management services to local authority roading agencies. In Australia and Canada, Opus provides highway data management services across a range of disciplines to both state and private organisations.

Integral to data management, Opus has developed systems which provide clients with data visualisation tools covering a range of mapping and video software. Opus has also carried out a number of commissions in the UK, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia providing strategic advice on the evaluation and procurement of data management systems. These commissions have included both private contractors and highway agencies.

Conservation And Land Management (CALM), New Zealand

This contract, completed in 2006, included the collection of road inventory and condition data for 14,500 km of CALM’s road network. 

Transit New Zealand Road Asset and Maintenance Management (RAMM) System Management

Opus is responsible to Transit NZ for data management on 70% of the New Zealand State Highway network.

Newfoundland WST GIS-T Implementation Planning Services, Canada

Opus Canada was retained by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Works, Services and Transportation (WST) to develop location data standards for GIS-T implementation within the Department.
