Former Hosiery Works, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom

Opus carried out the investigation and remediation of a large hosiery works for Miller Homes in Nottinghamshire. The soils at the site were found to be contaminated by mineral oils associated with the lubrication of knitting machines and spillages from above ground fuel oil tanks. Initially the Tier 1 human health risk assessment indicated that approximately 3,300m3 of soil required remediation.

Residential Development, Liversage, United Kingdom

Investigation of a former steel works located adjacent to a main river. The site investigation identified that the groundwater was impacted by dissolved chlorinated solvents and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
