Feature Projects

 
Queensland University of Technology

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) was already a recognised leader in facilities management before they engaged Opus for a five-yearly review of their facilities condition, functionality, and valuation.  They see a regular independent examination of their facilities as an essential part of an on-going facility management process.

Redfern Housing Redevelopment

Opus were the Structural and Civil Engineers for the $28-million Redfern East Housing Redevelopment, the first major public housing redevelopment in the inner city of Sydney for over 20 years.

Hamilton Island Yacht Club and Villas

The sculptural form of the Hamilton Island Yacht Club and Villas required Opus’ structural engineering team to really push the technical boundaries. The Yacht Club main building features a stunning copper roof, the shape of which was inspired by the shape of sails and masts, and a number of terraces that cantilever out over the water. The development also includes a marina and 35 detached luxury villas that are arranged in two tiers, along the foreshore and hillside.

Tennyson Reach Apartments

The Tennyson Reach Apartments are a new luxury residential riverside development by Mirvac and are located on the banks of the Brisbane River on the former Tennyson Power Station site in Brisbane. The apartments comprise of six residential apartment buildings, 1.87 hectares of public river front parkland, and a resident’s health and well-being facility that includes a gymnasium, lap and recreation pools and an on-site café.
