The Waitakere City Council Travel Plan is the first of its kind in Waitakere City. Waitakere Central, the new civic centre in the heart of Henderson, is adjacent to the rail station and a new bus interchange. This supports the Council’s Travel Plan, making the building much more accessible by train and bus than the old civic centre.

Opus managed the design and implementation of the Travel Plan, including creation of a  visitor’s guide, a  ‘personal journey planning service’ to help staff find out about their passenger transport options, and the addition of secure access to bicycle storage, and showers and lockers on site for active commuters.
