The Upper Harbour Corridor Project consists of the design and construction management of a new four lane divided carriageway between from North Shore and Waitakere cities, a distance of 14km plus a 2.8km extension of SH16.   The project has been staged with different procurement methods. 

Opus has undertaken detailed design for the 6.5km Greenhithe section and specimen designs for the 460m long duplication of the Upper Harbour Bridge, the 6km Hobsonville and the SH16 extension.   Construction buildability has been a key feature of the project.  This has included design of top down construction  Albany underpass with a focus on traffic management to maintain operation of existing roads and ramps during construction.  Extensive stakeholder consultation and environmental mitigation have also been significant features of the project.
