Priority Infrastructure Plan Review for Redland Water & Waste, Queensland, Australia

Redland Water and Waste engaged Opus to review their Priority Infrastructure Plans (PIP).  Based on the findings from the review, Opus was commissioned to revise the PIP and supporting reports including:  

  •  Reviewing the master plan water supply, master plan sewerage, PIP Sewer, PIP Water and ICS reports for accuracy and consistency.
  • Review the demand projections adopted in the planning study;
  • Review of the unit rates used for estimating the capital cost of the proposed future infrastructure works.  These were updated to reflect the current market rates for construction of water supply and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Update the master plan water supply and master plan sewerage reports based on the findings of the review.  This was a desk top review and no remodelling of the networks was undertaken.
  • Update the existing and proposed future infrastructure plans, based on the desktop assessment, revised master plan water supply and master plan sewerage report and discussions with RWW planning group.
  •  Recalculation of the capital works program and preparation of the infrastructure charges schedules;
  •  Recalculation of the infrastructure charges based on the above changes.
  • Update the infrastructure charges schedule report based on the revised capital works program.
