Fitzroy River Water investigated the feasibility of raising the barrage on the Fitzroy River as a possible long-term water security measure for Rockhampton city and surrounding areas.  A preliminary social impact assessment was conducted by Opus, and formed part of initial investigations on engineering, environmental and social aspects of the proposal.
