Opus has been providing their structural, civil and hydraulic engineering expertise to the Amcor facility in Petrie since the development of the original main machine building in the 1950’s. Over the years Opus has supplied their consultancy services for the facility’s numerous and ongoing upgrades and extensions. In total Opus has provided their engineering services for over 10,000sq m of structures on the Amcor site.

A current project Opus is working on at the Amcor Petrie Mill is the development of a new building to house the material recovery facility. A 90m x 45m steel framed shed will form the structure for a facility that will, in due course, house machinery that can separate and group like recycled materials such as steel, aluminum, paper and glass. Opus is the project manager for this project and are consequently responsible for managing the entire process of delivering the building.
