2008

Bradley West, Civil Engineering Cade from Paeroa, New Zealand

Bradley West has taken on significant responsibility with excellent time management skills, a can-do attitude, a commitment to getting the job done whilst all the time adding considerably to the team culture.

The contribution Bradley has been making to our Coromandel Network Maintenance Contract has been significant and he has shown a high level of maturity, ownership, and commitment. One of the challenges of the role is liaising with a passionate and often challenging Coromandel public, which demands excellent communication skills, and he has done this extraordinarily well. Bradley’s contribution to the East Waikato Network Management project team is equally as impressive.

Mark Gunter, Transportation Planner from Fredericton, Canada

Mark Gunter has displayed excellent capability in delivering the new Work Area Traffic Control Manual for the New Brunswick Department of Transportation. As the direct client contact he has exhibited great emotional intelligence and maturity in dealing with what at times may have been difficult and frustrating requests.

Mark has done this with the result that the client considers his service excellence to be above and beyond promised deliverables. This places him and the company in a very strong position with this client.

Graham Walker, Principal Surveyor from Nottingham, United Kingdom

Graham Walker has displayed all of the attributes to be successful. He has immersed himself in the integration process and particularly VISION and is fully behind the benefits of working as a UK-wide team.

The work Graham has been doing for the Environment Agency on a framework agreement for Tower Surveys is of high quality and has opened up opportunities for us across the business. Mark is also displaying excellent potential as a project manager in the work he has been doing on “Building Schools for the Future”.

Alex Jepsen, Resource Management Planner from Auckland, New Zealand

Alex Jepsen has taken on increasing responsibility and accountability for tasks and projects and has been applying excellent project management and leadership skills across a range of projects.

Alex has shown great attitude and willingness to take on roles that require her to 'step up' and she is developing a very strong reputation as a "trusted adviser" both within the Company and with Clients. She has demonstrated the ability to at times work under pressure, to be flexible in her approach to projects and the co-ordination of teams to achieve varying objectives. She takes ownership for tasks and projects and deals with issues quickly and appropriately, with a positive attitude and healthy self-belief.

Robert Westerberg, Civil Engineer Technician from Albany, New Zealand

Robert Westerberg has been an integral team member of the Albany Office in its growth and development from providing Asset Management services to RoadCare, to designs for local Shires and over recent times to providing contract management services to Water Corporation. He has completed a number of Works Inspector and Contract Management projects for Water Corporation and during 2008 was nominated as Superintendant's Representative (Engineers Representative) for the construction of a $12M Waste Water Treatment system for Water Corporation in Hopetoun, Western Australia.

This project was remote and also very politically important to Water Corporation to deliver on time and to a tight budget. The client required absolute commitment from him that their goals would be met. Robert displayed maturity and commitment to completing this project in a very sound and competent manner, much to the delight of the client.
