Asset Management Plan Development

Opus has been assisting local authorities and government agencies with the preparation of asset management plans in New Zealand since 1997 and more recently in Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Sound asset management planning is an essential obligation of asset ownership and requires a detailed understanding of the life cycle and depreciation of infrastructure assets.  Opus has been assisting clients with the preparation of infrastructure asset management plans for road networks, water, wastewater and stormwater networks, property assets and park assets in accordance with the latest version of the International Asset Management Manual for 10 years.

Following the preparation of basic asset management plans, annual programmes of plan improvements have been carried out and systems and processes have been markedly improved, so that many infrastructure asset management plans are nearing advanced level.
