Workshop refit stage one of upgrade [Hutt News] - WelTec has just spent $750,000 re-fitting its plumbing and gasfitting workshop and says there is more upgrading of its trades training facilities in the pipeline. Special school, chapel scoop design awards - The Wilson School and its chapel won this year's Institute of Architects awards. The school, by Opus Architecture was named New Zealand's best-designed new building. Click here to read more.

Opus announces appointments to board - Chairman of Opus International Consultants, Basil Logan has announced the appointment of Kerry McDonald to the new position of Deputy Chairman of the Opus Board. Opus Performs Well and Exceeds Forecasts - Opus International Consultants, New Zealand’s largest infrastructure consultancy, has reported another good year. For the year ended 31 December 2008, Revenue was $371.5 million, up 25.4 percent on the previous year and the Net Surplus after Tax was $17.5 million, up 23.4 percent. Click here to read more.

Opus Reports Strong Half-Year Result - Infrastructure provider, Opus International Consultants has released its financial results for the six months ending 30 June 2008. Commenting on the results, Opus Chairman, Basil Logan said that they show Opus is continuing to grow strongly and that its expertise in infrastructure management and development has generally positioned it well in its countries of operation. Further Expansion in Canada for Opus - Opus announced today that it has acquired Project Engineering Ltd, an engineering consultancy in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on the eastern seaboard of Canada. This will increase Opus’ presence in eastern Canada (Atlantic coastal region) with the addition of 13 staff to bring the total number operating out of Opus’ six offices in North America to 74.
