Peter Mathewson joined Opus after a short stint at Serco Consulting where he was Business Development and Commercial Manager across the Serco Transportation and Water Utilities group (Australasia). Prior to this Peter was General Manager Downer Construction (NZ & Pacific). Peter has 18 years’ experience managing national construction companies. His initial appointment at Opus was Northern Regional Manager based in Auckland in 2001. After 10 successful years in this position he was promoted to his current position of Managing Director New Zealand in February 2011. Peter has an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Professional Engineer. In 2001 Peter attended the Stanford University Executive Programme.
